Experience
- Associate Software Engineer at Canonical (2023 - Today).
Currently working with partners (NVIDIA, Intel) to optimize Ubuntu for their platforms. Developed automated benchmarking test infractructure, leading to optimized parameters for Ubuntu on Intel server platforms. Submitted Linux kernel patches, leading to 32% faster, up To 18% less energy for Intel Xeon Emerald Rapids. Also performed in-depth analysis of regressing test cases using Intel VTune profiler. Collected and analyzed data using Python and Jupyter notebooks.
- Software Developer at balena.io (2022 - 2023).
Developed an automated embedded Linux test framework called Autokit, using TypeScript. Prototyped automation equipment using OnShape CAD and 3D printers.
- Embedded Software Engineer at DeepX (2022).
Developed Linux-based mmWave radar solutions for property defense. Utilized Yocto and Rust for firmware development. Performed sensor integration and characterization.
- Undergraduate Researcher Embedded Systems Laboratory (Prof. Dr. Antônio Carlos Schneider Beck Filho) (2021 - 2022).
Trained and optimized neural networks for intrusion detection on SmartNICs. Utilized Xilinx Brevitas framework.
- Firmware and Hardware Developer at Beyond Domotics (2021).
Developed smart home devices using the ESP8266 platform and the C language, communicating using 802.15.4 and Wi-Fi. Also assisted in circuit board testing, assembly and debugging.
- Undergraduate Researcher at Embedded Systems Laboratory (Prof. Dr. Gabriel Nazar) (2020).
Developed fault injection software for criticality analysis of HLS code. Leveraged the LLVM compiler infrastructure to instrument reference implementations of numerous algorithms.
- Undergraduate Researcher at CTA (2019).
Developed hardware, firmware and visualization code for SADAPMAP at the High Pressure and Advanced Materials Laboratory of the Physics Institute.
